We’re gonna find something
We’ll dance in the garden
In torn sheets in the rain

I’m not sure why my interest in The New Pornographers lapsed between Electric Version and Brill Bruisers.  I think I was distracted by other aspects of my life, that were cosmically at odds with The New Pornographers.

I’m real excited to see them live next month!  I’ve seen them several times before, but not in a while.

Oh yeah!  One time, maybe 8 or 10 years ago now, I had a ticket to see them (and some comedians!)  I drove to the venue, and then couldn’t find street parking.  Not sure why I didn’t just park in a lot.  And I was so depressed in general, I just went home.  Woeful.

So, yeah, happy to see them next month!  May not be the same without Kurt Dahle, but it will still be great!

Vidjo, and a few tour dates. See www.ariel-pink.com fur ticket infos.

Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti - Selected Lyrics is now available for pre-order on the Nieves website.
Wholesale orders look here.

I finally ordered/received this book.  Well, it’s more like a brochure.  A $17 brochure.  It is thin, flimsy, and all bent up and ripped from being shipped to me in a bubble mailer (oh, but I didn’t order it from the above link.  I had a gift card somewhere else.)  Pretty disappointing.  Unless I’m missing some subersive point.  I mean, I’d be happy to give Ariel $17 directly, without getting even a brochure in return.  But I don’t think he’s going to get much of the $17 (including shipping) I paid to some random merchant on the barnes and noble web site.

King’s X, “Cigarettes” (Live, 1994)

I just got back from visiting my folks.  I hadn’t been there in at least 10 yrs.  I went through my stuff that’s still there.  It was like opening a 1990s time capsule.  This is some of what it would sound like.

good news.
